What is life coaching?

We all have our concerns and worries about different areas of our lives. We might worry about our health, money or career, about our children or relationships. The list goes on and on. In our lives, we face various problems, but worrying about them doesn’t help us resolve the problem, it gives us only sleepless nights. Coaching can help you to detach yourself from the problem, look at it from a distance and decide what you really want to happen in that area. Once you set a specific goal about this issue, we can work together to help you step by step move forward toward achieving this goal. Coaching will help you to take responsibility for your own behaviour, attitude and action in every situation and will teach you how effectively to solve problems.

One of the best things that life coaching can give you,  is to equip you with methods and tactics that will help you make the right decisions for yourself and your future. I will walk you through these processes, regarding whatever you are working towards, and eventually, you will start developing that problem-solving mindset. This mindset will start to work its way into your everyday life and change how you make decisions on a daily basis because it simply makes sense.

As your life coach, I am going to use different strategies, exercises and life stories that will motivate and inspire you and will give you the energy you need to reach your full potential.

It is like being your personal trainer for your life goals. Imagine you are overweight and feel that you need a motivation from the outside to start making significant changes. I am going to use my professional training to help you create an action plan, motivate you and walk with you each step toward your dreamed goal.

One of the first things to do when I meet with you is to collect information by asking you specific questions to find out what you want to accomplish. I will work with you to help you create a strategy that will move you toward your goal in an effective and meaningful way so that you could reach your goal faster and with less effort.

Accountability partner

I will play the role of accountability partner for the agreed actions when we review your progress every week. We’ll identify the roadblock and help you remove them from your path. I’ll give you the push you need when you’re stuck, I’ll cheer for you when you meet your goals and then challenge you to get out there and conquer even more goals.

You may rely on family and friends to be accountable for what you want to achieve, but that often put a strain on those relationships. Because of the verbal contract that you make with yourself and with me, you will feel accountable to carry on with your actions.

The Outcome

The outcome of a life coaching session is a feeling of direction and purpose. Instead of those feelings of being lost or constantly frustrated by either not being able to reach your goals or just disappointment in failing to try, you will feel energized and mobilized. When you are finally able to crack the code on setting achievable goals and taking the correct steps to follow through, it is an incredible sense of achievement and victory. I am here to get you moving as soon as possible so that you will begin to feel more confident and productive right away and carry that energy into the rest of your life. The happiness that comes with having a clear vision and actually witnessing yourself achieving your goals is validating, and the best thing that comes out of life coaching sessions.

How does coaching work?

During our initial session I am going to use a Questionnaire to gather important information about your problem, goals and aspirations that will help me in the process.   I am using popular coaching model, called the GROW model, which is an acronym for the areas explored, Goals, Reality, Options and Way forward, combined with some other coaching techniques, exercises and motivational stories to keep you motivated. This model keeps you moving forward towards your goal. I will be asking you questions, listening to your responses, challenging you and at the same time remaining non-judgemental regarding the details and not offering you any advice, but instead empowering you to come up with your own solution.

My coaching approach is tailored to each client’s needs.

What will happen during a coaching session?

You will be guided through a 6 point process.

  1. Review the previous session and the actions that you have completed
  2. Set your goal for that session
  3. Consider where you are at the present moment with this goal
  4. Remove any roadblocks that could stay on the way
  5. Consider your options in meeting this goal
  6. Agree on some actions

Each session will last approximately 60 min.  I will manage the timing of the session and ensure you gain full value from the session.

Contact me for a free, non-obligatory 30-minute session. I can work with you by Skype, phone or face-to face, whichever suits you.
